Many people, both Jews and Gentiles, have forgotten that Jesus of Nazareth was a Jew. His mother was Jewish. He received the Jewish sign of circumcision. He grew up in a Jewish town in Galilee. He taught regularly in Jewish synagogues. So if Jesus was Jewish, why would accepting His teachings make you any less Jewish? Why don’t most Jews believe in Him? Besides the misdeeds of some of His so-called followers, here are some of the reasons why many Jews don’t believe in Jesus:

“Doesn’t belief in Jesus mean that you’re no longer Jewish?”

“I was born a Jew and I will die a Jew.”

“If Jesus is the Jewish Messiah, why don’t more Jews believe in him?”

“Jewish people do not believe in human sacrifice.”

“Jewish people don’t need a middleman.”

“Judaism does not believe in original sin.”

“Religions are all alike. They all have some good points and can help people to lead worthwhile lives.”

“Why did God allow six million Jews to die in the Holocaust?”
